I want to start out by saying that our family is so glad that you are here!

Hi! My name is Jessica and myself along with my wonderful husband and our two daughters make up Our Adventures in Parenthood blog. We are a little family from a small town in West Virginia who love to spend quality time together and go on lots of adventures!

My husband and I have always loved to travel together and have been packing as many vacations into our schedule as we can make work. Once we decided to start a family, we decided that we wanted them to see the world too! As a family of four, our vacations look much different now than when it was just the two of us. They are packed with lots of extra restroom breaks, pit stops for snacks, and tons of kid friendly activities. Most importantly, they are filled with so many family memories that will never be replaced!

We have discovered that life is too short to keep putting off that dream vacation. Try not to wait until retirement or when you meet a certain goal. The time to travel is now! Even if you can’t afford a five-star luxury vacation, you can plan a trip that meets your budget and current situation.

When we are not traveling, I am a stay-at-home, homeschool mom who loves keeping our girls busy with lots of creative and hands-on activities. As busy parents, we all know that sometimes it is a struggle to just keep our sanity throughout the day as we juggle all of the tasks of parenthood. It is even harder to find the time to research, plan out and actually do activities with our kids. Hopefully this blog can help you take a few items off of your never-ending to-do list by being a resource for activities that you can do with your kids or simple recipes that you can make that your whole family will love!

Finally, as we document our family’s journey on Our Adventures in Parenthood blog, our hope is to encourage others by making vacation planning easier with helpful tips and tricks from places we have been and products that make our life easier, sharing our favorite recipes that the whole family enjoys, and by sharing fun kid’s activities with you that can be used to enhance your homeschool journey or just for creative ideas to do with your kids!
